"LION"

This Water Pitcher is one of the most rare items in the "Lion" pattern.  The example found below, has the famous "Burlington" Applied Handle, believed to have been made by a Glass Blower employed by our Canadian Factory, the "Burlington Glass Works", located in Hamilton, Ontario.  The pattern was produced in the 1870's.
